Sample value from the publisher’s release
2025: 16,474 inspections · 14,554 ships · 688 detentions · 51,797 deficiencies · detention rate 4.18% (2024: 4.03%)
The detention rate depends on the inspection pool; because inspections concentrate on ships selected by risk profile, the rate is not a direct measure of flag quality.
