Country / area / global entity

Up to 6 entities. Countries, areas and global aggregates have different coverage.

READING GUIDE

The right scale. A fair comparison.

01 / RELATIONSHIP

Ocean measures / contextual indicators

Marine protection and sea temperature are direct indicators; fisheries totals that include inland waters are labelled as context. National energy, carbon and economic series provide context; they do not measure the maritime sector’s share.

02 / COMPARISON

One indicator, a shared period

Each chart contains only series for one indicator in the same unit. Comparison bars use the latest period shared by all selected entities. Read geographic coverage and source notes together.

03 / TRANSPARENCY

Gaps stay visible

Missing observations are never converted to zero. Monthly and annual series are not mixed. This package is a dated data snapshot, not a live feed. Read provider estimates together with the source notes.

DATA PROVENANCE

Sources in this package

Only sources with imported series are listed. Sources requiring access or licence verification are not treated as connected automatically.
